Kachemak Heritage Land Trust is governed by a board of directors elected by the general membership on a staggered schedule for three-year terms at the Annual Meeting each fall. The current Board of Directors members are:

Dotti Harness-FosterBoard PresidentDotti has a BS in Mathematics and a Masters in Education. She has prior work experience in real estate, and currently works in the City of Homer’s Planning Department. Dotti has been on the board of KHLT since 2004, serving as President since 2005. |

John MouwVice-PresidentJohn is a retired property manager and has been on the KHLT board since 1997. He served as Treasurer for 8 1/2 years and was elected Vice President in 2009. He is on the Board of Directors of the Homer Foundation and is a member of the Homer Rotary Club. |

Larsen KlingelTreasurerLarsen is a self-employed investor. His family created our Klingel Fund and has donated several lots as trade land. Larsen has been on the board of KHLT since 2002, and has served as Treasurer since 2007. |

Scott ConnellySecretaryScott has been selling real estate in the Homer area for over sixteen years. He is involved with trails and trailhead development in the Homer area, serving on the Snomads board and trails committee. Scott joined the KHLT board in 2008. |

Marian BeckA life-long local resident, Marian has been on the board of KHLT since 1994. She owns the Saltry Restaurant and the Kachemak Bay Ferry, is an artist and an authorized seal rehabilitator, and is active in the local equestrian club. |

Rachel LordOriginally from Maine, Rachel moved to Alaska in 2005 for her MS degree in Wildlife Biology at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. She worked a season with the International Pacific Halibut Commission became the Outreach & Monitoring Coordinator at Cook Inletkeeper in 2008. Rachel joined the KHLT board in April 2010. |

Sam MeansSam worked as a land manager for the State of Alaska for thirty years. He managed legal and physical access across state land, and spent several years with the Municipal Lands Trustee Program, working with Village Councils and Native Village Corporations in unincorporated villages. Sam joined the KHLT board in October 2009. |

Nancy Lee-EvansNancy learned a love of nature that led to a long and varied career as an environmentalist, in sustainability and ultimately to her current work as a business owner. In 1977, she founded the Alaska Alternative Energy Resource Center at the Alaska Center for the Environment which hosted the first 3 of 6 Annual Alaska Alternative Energy Conferences, early precursors to Bioneers in Alaska. Nancy has a MA and PHD and joined the KHLT board in January 2012. |

Donna Robertson AderholdDonna Robertson Aderhold. Donna is an environmental scientist for an engineering and environmental consulting firm, providing guidance on the regulatory process for a variety of proposed development projects throughout Alaska. As a wildlife biologist she believes that land conservation is one of the most important things humans can do to ensure maintenance of healthy ecosystems for future generations. Donna is on the Kachemak Bay Research Reserve's Community Council, the Homer library's landscaping committee, and is a member of the professional organizations The Wildlife Society and Society of Wetland Scientists. Donna has served on various KHLT committees and is the newest KHLT board member, joining the board in June 2012. |
